Meandering around the Perimeter Trail at Meadowlark Botanical Gardens

When we hit a wall and need to recharge or just get inspired, we lace up our Nikes and take on the great outdoors. We have a few favorite spots in the area, one of which is the Perimeter Trail at the Meadowlark Botanical Gardens in Vienna, VA.

The Perimeter Trail is just around one mile in distance, and the gravel is relatively easy to walk on without twisting an ankle (this is a huge pro for accident prone Eliza). The trail has a few small hills that get your heart rate up towards the backside of the park, but we usually meander along the trail. We like coming to this trail because of the gorgeous views, serene setting, and bonus reason: it's free!
